Oh, Rome, the eternal city! Where do I even begin to describe the sheer magic and awe that enveloped me during our visit? From the moment I set foot on its ancient cobblestone streets, I felt as if I had stepped back in time, immersing myself in centuries of history and unparalleled beauty. The iconic landmarks of Rome are truly a sight to behold. The grandeur of the Colosseum left me breathless, as I stood before the mighty amphitheater that once hosted thrilling gladiatorial contests. The sheer magnitude of the Pantheon's dome left me in awe, marveling at the architectural genius of the ancient Romans. And how can one not be captivated by the Vatican City, with its magnificent St. Peter's Basilica and the breathtaking Sistine Chapel? The artistic masterpieces that adorn these sacred walls are simply indescribable.

But Rome is so much more than its landmarks. It's a city that pulsates with life, where history seamlessly blends with modernity. The vibrant piazzas, such as Piazza Navona and Piazza di Spagna, filled with lively cafes serving great food and street performers, invite you to soak in the bustling atmosphere and sip on a delicious espresso drinks. As we wandered through the narrow streets of Trastevere, the authentic charm of the local trattorias and the warm smiles of the locals made me feel like a part of the Roman family. Everywhere I turned, there were remnants of an ancient civilization intertwined with the daily rhythms of modern life.

The best time to visit Rome, Italy, is during the spring and fall seasons, specifically from April to June and September to October. These months offer pleasant weather with mild temperatures ranging from the 60s to 70s Fahrenheit (15-25 degrees Celsius).

The summer months in Rome Italy are especially warm and dry. From June to August, temperatures average in the high 80s and 90s Fahrenheit (30+ Celsius) with no rain. The city is blanketed in a haze of dust from the sun's heat, making it difficult to breathe outdoors during peak hours.

The winter months in Rome are a bit cooler than the summer months, with temperatures averaging between 50 and 60 Fahrenheit (10-15 Celsius) and occasional rainfall. From December to February, temperatures generally drop to freezing at night. During this period, there is usually more rain in Rome than during the rest of the year.

• Dress modestly - Vatican City is a religious site. Shoulders and knees should be covered, and hats should be removed inside the basilica.

• Long Lines - There's a lot of long lines, but you can avoid some of them by planing early. Book a skip-the line tickets before your trip.

• St. Peter's Basilica - There is always a long line to get in here, I suggest getting there early before it opens at 7:00AM. When the doors first open the line will go very fast.

• Visitors are required to deposit strollers, luggage, suitcases, backpacks, parcels and containers which, due to their size and characteristics, are not considered suitable for the staff in charge, in the cloakroom.

• Vatican City has no shade areas, make sure you have water for yourself because lines can get up to two hours long.
