Renting a bicycle is an excellent way to explore the city at your own pace. Several bike rental companies offer various options, including traditional bicycles and electric bikes (e-bikes), which make navigating the city's hilly terrain easier. If you have Uber or BOLT application you will be able to rent bikes, or e-bikes very easily.

• Scooters: Electric scooters have gained popularity in Barcelona as a convenient and fun mode of transportation. Several scooter rental services allow you to easily rent and ride scooters throughout the city. Just be sure to follow traffic regulations and park the scooters responsibly.

• Vespa: Many locals ride Vespa's around the city, they are a very popular mode of transportation. If you have an EU drivers license, then you can rent without a problem. Having an American license should be fine, but I also ensure I have an international drivers license just in case. My personal favourite for renting a vespa ahead of time is bikesbooking.com. When it comes to pick-up points, you have plenty of options around the city.

• Metro: Barcelona's metro system is an efficient and reliable way to navigate the city. The buses operate on a comprehensive schedule, with some routes providing 24-hour service. Keep in mind that buses can sometimes be affected by traffic, so plan your journey accordingly.
